The item is a vintage mahogany display case with seven glazed sides in bevelled glass and a mirrored back. The two rear panels are lockable doors. It is fitted with spotlights to the top and four toughened glass shelves. It was reclaimed from a jewellers in Haymarket, Central London. The exact date of its manufacture and its maker are not known, but it was sold by a reputable seller as being vintage 20th century and probably French.
The dimensions of the cabinet are: 207.1cm high, by 109.3cm wide, by 54.7cm deep.
Unfortunately the front glass panel and back mirror were replaced due to a breakage, and there have also been minor repairs to the mahogany framework. These repairs have been carried out to a good standard by a professional.
